1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Translato. application (“Translato.”, “the App”, “the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Translato..
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not download or use the App. Your continued use of Translato. after any modifications to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. Description of Service
Translato. is an AI-powered translation application available on iOS and Android. The Service provides:
- Free tier — 20 text, voice, or camera translations per day, with advertisement support via Google AdMob.
- Pro tier — Unlimited translations, all 8 context modes, AI Translation Explainer, ElevenLabs natural voices, no ads, and translation history sync.
- Lifetime tier — All Pro features with a one-time payment, with no recurring charges.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice where possible.
3. User Accounts
You may use Translato. as a guest without creating an account (with limited features) or by registering an account to access full functionality.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
- You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account.
- One account per person. You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent free tier limitations.
- You must be at least the minimum age required by the App Store in your jurisdiction to create an account. The app is rated 4+ on the Apple App Store.
- Notify us immediately at hello@clavierlabs.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Translato. only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:
- Use Translato. for any illegal purposes, including but not limited to facilitating fraud, harassment, or unlawful surveillance.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise derive the source code of the App or its underlying AI systems.
- Use automated tools, bots, scripts, or other means to exceed free tier translation limits or otherwise abuse the Service.
- Submit content that infringes upon the intellectual property rights of others, contains defamatory material, or violates any applicable law.
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Service without our written consent.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or its infrastructure.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service or its related systems.
We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these acceptable use standards, with or without prior notice depending on the severity of the violation.
5. Subscriptions and Payments
Translato. offers paid subscription plans and a one-time lifetime purchase, processed exclusively through the Apple App Store.
- Pro Monthly/Annual subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) via the Apple App Store.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- Subscription management and cancellation must be done through your Apple App Store account settings — not through the app itself.
- Lifetime purchase is a one-time, non-refundable payment that grants permanent access to all Pro features as they exist at the time of purchase and future updates.
- Refunds for App Store purchases are governed by Apple's App Store refund policy. We do not have the ability to issue refunds directly.
- Prices are subject to change with at least 30 days' prior notice. Price changes will not affect current billing periods.
6. Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in and to the Translato. application, including its design, code, branding, and content, are owned by Translato. and its licensors.
- Your content — You retain full ownership of all text, images, and audio you submit to the App for translation. You grant Translato. a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the translation service to you.
- Our content — The Translato. name, logo, and brand assets are trademarks of Translato.. You may not use our trademarks, trade names, or brand assets in any manner without our prior written permission.
- Feedback — Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide about the Service may be used by us without restriction or compensation to you.
- Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any intellectual property from either party to the other.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
Translato. is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any translation produced by the App. AI-generated translations may contain errors, omissions, or culturally inappropriate content.
- Do not use Translato. translations as the sole basis for critical medical, legal, safety, or financial decisions. Always verify important translations with a qualified human professional.
- We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We aim for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee it.
- We disclaim all implied warranties including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Translato. and its affiliates, officers, employees, and licensors shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
- Any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
- Any damages arising from reliance on translations produced by the Service.
- Service interruptions caused by third-party providers (including Anthropic, ElevenLabs, Supabase, or Apple) that are beyond our reasonable control.
In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims arising from or relating to the Service exceed the total amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or ₹500 (whichever is greater).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities. In such jurisdictions, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
9. Termination
Either party may terminate the use of the Service at any time:
- You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting the App. To delete your account and associated data, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account within the App.
- We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if required to do so by law. We will make reasonable efforts to provide prior notice except in cases of severe violations.
- Terminating your account does not automatically cancel active App Store subscriptions. You must cancel subscriptions separately via your Apple App Store account settings to avoid further charges.
- Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall continue to apply.
10. Governing Law
These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms, including any question regarding their existence, validity, or termination, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
